Jane reached inside the chest and pulled out a long white evening gown. She ran her hand down the beautiful, soft material. “Gorgeous” she whispered. She stood and held it up against her. It looked to be a perfect fit. Glancing around the room once more, she slipped the gown on, then walked to the mirror and twirled. A soft giggle escaped before she could stop herself. Yards of silky whiteness surrounded her, making her look elegant and refined, setting off her pale skin and dark hair. Going back to the trunk, she dug around, looking to see what else she might find. Jane pulled out a long strand of ivory pearls, hair clips and soft silk slippers. Whomever these things were for, she must have been very rich. Jane put on the slippers and pearls, then swept up her dark tresses with the little hair clips. Twirling back and forth in front of the mirror, she felt like she was a medieval princess. All giggles, she ran back to the trunk to see what else she might find. Upon reaching the bottom, she her hand flew to her mouth and she gasped. There at the bottom of the trunk, was her journal.
Until next time,
