Quinn, the True Story of a Rooster Chapter 1

Posted in Posted by Anna Sewell

Here I am again! If you want to read my introduction, please scroll down to the entry under this!

So here goes, "Quinn, The True Story of A Rooster"-An Autobiography

Chapter One

My vision was blurred. I kept hearing cracking noises as I struggled to get free from my encasement in the egg. After a long while, I was finally out of the shell and I layed on the soft chips that covered the incubators warm bottom.  After a while, I woke up, yawned, stretched and started to explore. My little chick ears were ringing after about five minutes. I was wondering alot about that awful noise as I started to peck. Later on I was scooped up by a pair of gentle hands, and put into a small box with about 10 or 15 other chicks. I heard some voices. One sounded like a man, and the other a child. I started tumbling around as I was carried out outside. I smelled something sweet. It smelled like...like...rolling hills, and meadows.

After a lot of bumping and being pushed to one side of the box, me and my brothers and sisters were let out into a nice warm area with food and water. I ran straight to the water and gulped down many beads of it, and when finally refreshed, layed in a corner to rest. Hours later, I found myself with my beak stuck in the watering can, and I couldn't breathe. "Who could have done this?" I thought. But then I realized there was the possibility I could've sleep walked. "Well, atleast I'm safe!" I thought.

Great story Anna! It's really cute. :) Although I'm not wild about the fact that it's about a rooster. But you know, that's just me and you know how I don't like chickens. But if you don't mind them and love all animals, it's wonderful! I mean it's a wonderful story, no matter what it's about. I mean...aww, forget that stuff. :)
Love your sis,
Ellyn
