1.What time frame do your stories take place in? I don't really have a time frame, I usually go by genre which would be Fantasy and a little Science Fiction. If I had to pick a time frame it would probably be ancient times.
2. What are your characters typically like? They all have distinct personalities; they are the masters of themselves. Sometimes I'll think I have a characters personality down and suddenly the character will change it around. Although I try to put a little bit of myself into each character.
3. Why do you write?I cannot not write. I don't need to write everyday but sometimes I will get a chill and realize I have to start witing. It's hard to explain; I need to write. I also enoy writing because I can live out my dreams through my stories; and I want to share the gifts God has given me.
4. When was the last time you had inspiration for a work? Inspiration is a funny thing, it comes and goes for me like waves.
5. What causes your inspiration? Anything can cause it, a laugh, a certain picture, anything. Mostly I get it from nature and reading other books. Music also causes inspiration, when I'm dancing to music I get a surge through my body.
6. What music do you usually listen to when? I don't focus on what type of music I listen to, I more focus on the music itself. Music is a part of my soul.
7. What book/movie most influenced your writing? My parents (my dad mostly) have always read to us. My dad is also a big fantasy buff so I got that from him. I think the first book that inspired and influenced me was either Roald Dahl's "Fantastic Mr. Fox" or Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Facotry" He read them to my sister and I when I was 4 or 5 and we loved them. The allure of a candy factory with oompa-loompa's and foxes who poached chickens from angry farmers enthralled me. When I was around 5 he read "The Chronicles of Narnia" to us from the first book to the last. Every night we awaited the next chapter, wondering if Caspian would escape, or if Eustuce would stay a dragon. I remember one night after he read I sat in my bed for awhile then raced upstairs exclaiming "Digory Kirk is the Professor, he was in Narnia!"
8. How long have you been writing? I have been writing since about 6 or 7. Although my writing skills have greatly improved this past year.
9. Do you think better while laying down or sitting up? Either or. I like to squish in our big fold up puffy chair with a blanket and start writing. I hate to write when I'm cold or uncofortable; the words don't flow then.
10. Which place inspires you most? A beautiful place inspires me. I get inspired by nature more than half the time. Waterfalls, Forests, The Oceans and flowers are great inspiration sources for me.
