Lesson 10 and 11 --
Lesson 10 -- Yes, I have started my story and have the links to it in another lesson. =) Lesson 11 -- Here goes, I'm horrible at summaries. xD Title: Lord of the Rings Nutshell Summary: The Hobbit, Frodo Baggins, goes on a journey to Mordor to destroy the one ring. While he is doing that the other inhabitants of Middle Earth work to defend themselves and keep the land from being overtaken by evil. Title: Jeeves and the Cow Creamer Nutshell Summary: Bertie Wooster is recruited by his aunt to steal back a silver cow creamer for his uncle. He has many adventures as he tries to get it. Title: No Idea Nutshell Summary: Kit is a policewoman/detective and is put on a case concerning the kidnapping of a girl. When another girl is threatened, she and her co-worker, Jeremy, work side by side to find a rather unexpected explanation of the disappearance.

You may think you are "horrible" at writing summaries, my dear, but you did a fine job on all three of these.
Writing a summary for your own story is...to me...the hardest thing I've had to do for my publisher. Here's the one I had to write a couple of weeks ago and send into the publisher (for my new book that is coming out next fall):
Title: Andrea Carter and the San Francisco Smugglers:
Nutshell summary: Andi takes charge when she learns that the Chinese servant-girl at her San Francisco boarding school is really a slave.
BTW, I hate writing summaries, also, but I've gotten better at it---3 years later. Be glad you are learning this skill early in life. I wish I had! Notice that it is a good idea to learn how to do it---nobody told me a PUBLISHER requires 25-word summaries of your entire book! AUGH!
