Well, it was a fun weekend. I got to go to a book sale on Saturday morning and came home with 7 boxes of goodies! Including books for Jungle Princess: Fairy tales, pet medicine, endangered animals and golden retrievers and books for the Game Master: stamp collecting and ancient Rome personalities and early explorers.
We had a lot of rain at the end of last week which is awesome. My strawberry plants that I planted last month are blooming and looking lovely. JP and GM enjoyed the rain too and set about working on their slippery holes to China!

"Are you sure this is the way to China, Mom?"
Then Sunday we skipped church, but it was for a good reason. We met my dad and stepmother at a Wild Animal Rescue Hospital in Waynesboro, VA. It is supposed to be the largest one in the U.S. They have open houses in the spring and offer tours of the center, but only on Sundays. With Game Master and Jungle Princess loving animals so much and wanting to protect them and heal them, it was a must do adventure.
Here are some pictures of what we saw. They do an amazing job at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. And my tour guide turned out to be the new Director of Education and she and I are going to be setting up a homeschool workshop really soon!

Afterwards we went to nearby Weaver's Museum. We saw several neat cars. Game Master's favorite was the one standing beside the last Cadillac that Elvis purchased before his death. Jungle Princess picked the Corvette as her favorite car, then stood in front of the pretty red car for Mommy because Mommy liked that one!

"Mommy, can't I please have this? I would look soooo good in it!"

"Hey, Mom. Do you think Elvis liked this car best or one of the pink ones?"

"Come on, Mom. I know you want this car! We will just take it for a little spin and bring it right back!" |
