Growth problems, beards and dwarfs!!
We were discussing Zachary's growth problems recently and I joked that maybe he's a dwarf (since he likes movies with dwarfs). When he became somewhat serious about this discussion that was supposed to be light-hearted I reassured him that if he WAS a dwarf (and we let him know the proper term is "little person") we would have known when he was born. He said "Of course you would because I would have had a beard!!" We try really hard not to laugh at our kids when they aren't intending to be funny, but this is one time I just could NOT hold it in. |

Haha, that is just too funny. I am sure I have a deformed face from trying to keep it straight when my kids do something like that. I had gotten several charts for different functions recently, and always explained what each one was for. My daughter knows where to look when she does something she's not supposed to. We had to do this with her one day, and after giving her the charted discipline, she was on my lap sobbing her little eyes out, and stopped long enough to inform me, "crying is NOT on the schedule".
I really couldn't help laughing at her, and I'm sure that did not improve her mood!
