Jan. 22, 2007 - writers block
it snowed!!! finally, we got some snow. It snowed almost all day yesterday... =D not much stuck, but it covered the ground... so hopefully i can get out and go snowboarding sometime soon since we dont really have to worry about it being too warm...
so< I cant seem to come up with anything creative to write about... :| so, here's a poem I'm memorizing. I have to say it tomorrow in american lit. yes, I'm still memorizing it... lol
Ars Poetica

A poem should be palpable and mute
as a globed fruit
Dumb
as an old medalian to the thumb
Silent as a sleeve worn stone
like the casement ledges where the moss has grown
a poem should be wordless
as a flight of birds
A poem should be motionless in time
as the moon climbs
leaving as the moon releases
twig by twig the night-entangled trees
Leaving as the moon behind the winter leaves
memory by memory the mind-
A poem should be monionless in time as the moon climbs
A poem should be equal to:
not true
For all the history of grief
An empty doorway and a maple leaf
For love
the leanging grasses and two lights above the sea-
A poem should not mean
But be
hmmm, wow almost all by memory... pretty good =D well, hopefully i'll come up with something more interesting next time...

sorry, couldn't read all of the poem cause i'm getting picked up any min now to go babysit! yeah, we got snow too....i went snowboarding monday and am going again today! i hope you get to go sometime too:0)

Snowboarding? you go gurl! That'd be so much fun! It snowed here last week. we got about 4 inches. It was so much fun. It's all gone now tho. Yesterday was so warm and sunny that it really felt like summer! and today it's really foggy and musty lol. it's amazing how everything changes so fast.
That's a nice poem. good job memorizing it. How'd it go when you said it in American lit.?

yes! it has snowed! I first saw it when i was getting close to DC...then it was in DC and i guess it traveled up. It's a happy thing.

Hey! You got snow? Where do you live? We still haven't gotten a good snow yet this winter. :-( It snowed Sunday night and left us a dusting that was gone soon after the sun came out Monday morning. I hope we get a least one good snow before winter is over!
Btw, I color coordinate my closet too! haha.
I wonder if the answers for the modesty survey are posted yet? I've been trying to kinda keep an eye on it for when they post the answers... maybe I should go check...
