Friday, November 7, 2008 - I am so blessed
Posted in Blessings

Boy have I been blessed this week!!!!!!

My kids have behaved, even been really good!

Mom and Dad are down, and dad is doing REALLY good!!!   We went hunting together the other day, but I won't hunt with him again :(   He got up from where he was supposed to be sitting and walked through the woods to me (spreading his scent over 1/2 of my shooting zone).  Then when he was sitting with me, he wouldn't be quiet, so I gave up adn just started talking with him...it was nice though, to sit in the woods with dad and talk without distractions...he even brought up the Lord a few times!

Calvin has been working the night shift this week, I think he is next week too, he is doing well.

Isabella is becoming a terrible two (!)   She is saying no and not listening, I'm doing my best to nip that in the butt!  (bud?)

With mom here, I feel as though I'm on vacation...she does so much for me.  And the kids absolutely love her.

Today her and and the girls are going to pick up some fabric and do a little shopping.  While the men go bird hunting.  Then this evening, Calvin and I will sit in the tree stand together.

Our dog, Dixie, is begining to show!   She is a bit over 4 weeks along.  I'm praying for a good litter of healthy pups that sell without a problem.  But she is so moody!  Not tolerant of the kids at all.

We have new neighbors, who have bought the house next door (NO MORE RENTERS!!!  No more wondering who would be moving in next).  Heather is a single mom who teachers 8th grade English and her son, Colby is 7.....the kids are getting along so well.  He is an adorable curly blond haired boy with the nicest manners!

I see turkey is on sale at Shaws for $0.48 a pound (after you send $25 on other groceries).  They also have butter for $1.88.  Mom and I will go there later and pick up at least 2 turkey, maybe 3, we'll see.  Limit 2 per customer.

Gas is running around $2.30-$2.40 here - THAT is a HUGE blessing to so many people.

We have a new President...and though I don't support him or believe in MUCH of his beliefs, I am willing to give it completely to the Lord.  I have full faith that GOD will reign in this situation.  I am not full of fear or dread like I am hearing from so many other people.  I don't even think I am apprehensive.  There is nothing this Presidency or the people he places in power beneath him can do to harm me.  I am one of God's people, and he will set a watch before our enemies.

I'm sure there are many more, but these are the blessings that have come to mind.  I hope you all will sit back and thank God for the blessings in your lives.  GOD IS GOOD!
Blessings,
Hope

How wonderful that your family is together. Our gas here in colorado is a bit lower about 2.09 last I checked. We too got a turkey at our grocery store and milk. I love sales. and always stock up.
