When I was in Joann's last week with my mom, I heard the overhead music and announcements, and they said they offer a discount card for teachers, and Homeschoolers qualify.  I called the store later and asked how to get the card, and they said I have to have a teacher ID card (from my state), and that the one from my NAPS (Non Approved Private School) doesn't qualify....so I did some searching and found this link on their site

 

You need to click on the Sign up for your teacher Deiscount Card Today link, and from there, scroll down to this part:

Qualification for Teacher Rewards Discount Card*

*NOTE: You must be either a credentialed, licensed or certified teacher in the state you teach or a PEAH (Parents Educating at Home) member. If not, please click here to go to our Preferred Customer sign up page.   Please enter your Employer (not employee) Identification Number (EIN) (WITHOUT HYPHENS)* PEAH member number: (If you are a home schooler and not a PEAH member, click here.) *The Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a federal tax identification number, can be obtained from the payroll department of the teaching institution for which you work.   and click on the click here link.  This will take you to the PEAH site, where they allow you to get an access code to enter into the Joann's site to get your card :)
