It is really yucky outside, and I mean yucky:

The trees all have a thick coating of ice.
The temperature is just above freezing.
My sump pump in the basement has been running for a few hours now, pumping out the excess water.
The SLUSH is thick and heavy stuff.  I just shoveled the back and front porch and cleared in front of the steps, and it is very, very heavy.
There is water standing under the slush.  I had Calvin's muck boots on, and in some places the water/slush is up to my ankles (I was gathering up some toys the kids left out there)
I think there isn't an open school in the entire state!  And all the government buildings are closed to. 

Please pray for safe travel for those who are working and driving in this stuff.
