This afternoon my heart was filled with joy.  After school was finished, Coy and Garrett dressed in their snow gear and went outside to play.  Coy came back in shortly and asked if they could shovel the neighbor's driveway.  I assured him he could, and I reminded him that if he starts a job, he must finish it.  After about 3 hours of work mixed with play, the two little boys have completed their task.  Now, this  driveway is very small and narrow, would probably have taken an adult under 30 minutes to complete.

Our neighbor is a single mother who is a local school teacher.  Her little boy is about my boy's age, 7 or 8.  When she isn't teaching, she is coaching cheerleading or taking a college course.  They aren't home often.

I was absolutely delighted that the boys allowed God to use them to be a blessing to her.  Surely she would have eventually gotten to shoveling the drive, but now she doesn't have to.
