Questions, questions, questions....

So, is Jesus as "serious" as most/some Christians seem to think He is?
Does He laugh? Does He clown around?
Was He so holy that He didn't have a sense of humor? Were His disciples bored with Him?
If He has no humor, then why is there laughter and smiles and bubbly feelings? If He is SOOOOO serious then why do we LOL and ROFL and ROFLOL and laugh so hard we cry?
Some Christians are so pious that it's sickening...everything is spiritual...nothing is funny...dead, no life...I'm talking about innocent stuff being funny...not blasphemous stuff.
I guess I am sick and tired of the "law". It binds people...there is NO freedom in the "law" and I desire that all of the body of Christ be free from it.
I mean, really. Think about it...if He is THAT serious then I really don't want any part of that...
Just for the record, I know the answers to these questions for myself and my family, so I'm not asking because I need to know 
.

So, if there really is joy in Him. If one of the fruits of the Spirit is joy...
Perhaps I need to be sure I know where my joy is at all times, lest I get too serious!

Well, aren't you being thought-provoking this week?! You know, there is a place for "Law" - Paul talks about the Law leading us to grace by showing us where we fall short. Yet I'm also reminded of Galatians 5:23 where Paul writes of the fruit of the Spirit (including Joy) that "against such things there is no law." I think that people who are so wrapped up in following "the rules" that they won't laugh/be happy/experience joy/whatever don't really understand the Law any more than they understand Grace.
Wow - I think I just wrote another blog post instead of a comment. ;-) Hope you have a happy, laughing, joy-filled day!

....of the Lord is my Strength!! If God didn't have a sense of humor why did he create a platypus? Did you ever see one of those things?? He created laughter. It's one of the first things babies learn to do...and when they do it, they do it from right down deep in their gut! I think God loves to see us laugh. Great post. Apparently those "pious" christians have not read Psalm 68:3.....May the righteous be GLAD and REJOICE before God; may they be HAPPY and JOYFUL!!!

I've always been rather suspicious of Christians who never laugh. It's almost as if they think this life in Christ is a performance instead of a conversation. Hmmm, great post!
