Better results for curriculum....yaaaaaa me!

Posted in School Dayz

OK, so, Julie over at OldSchoolMarm wanted to see an update for curriculum choices I had made for our 2008-2009 term. I am glad she asked because it motivated me to finish compling my list. Here it is. There are still some spots where I am having a hmmmmm moment.

In the midst of this we will do unit studies and lapbooks. We have a unit study pending for Italy. We are waiting for Nancy Drew’s next game to come out since it will be based in Venice, Italy. I can’t wait and neither can they!!!

I need good read aloud books for all the age groups

Additional books I may purchase or check out from the library:

Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare for Children by Evelyn Nesbit

Jashub’s Journal*

The Pilgrims Progress

Five Little Peppers

The Railway Children

Little Town on the Prairie

The Magic Hill

Now We Are Six

Katie and the Sunflowers

Things are a lot more put together. Since I am learning to lean on God for this whole schooling process, this list could very well change, but for now I am happy. I just need to figure out scheduling *sigh*… :o)

Wow! I'm impressed. I can't think quite that far ahead. Thankfully, for the first year in four, a lot of what worked this year we can continue next year! Great job!

I see you're using Math u See. Have you used it before? I have a 7yo son (very kinesthetic learner) and I feel he is just NOT getting math in his textbook. I'm trying to decide if this is something we should try with him. Thanks for your thoughts.
