Welcome to my spot! Here I post about the goings on in my life while serving my King. I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged in the Lord by reading my blog.
I am a 15 year old Christian, saved by God's amazing grace. My ultimate goal is to give glory to God by enjoying Him forever. I am a stay-at-home-daughter, and hope to one day become a godly wife and mother.
I enjoy antiques - especially the ones with a story.

Your memories are held within your heart
And your heart in one of two treasures.
That of the earthly or that of the heavenly;
The Creator of universe measures.
-
Hold not so close the earthly dear
And all that glitters here.
Value that which is worth more
And within your heart keep near.
-
When eternity draws close at hand
And rusting possessions fade
Consider your soul and your eroding land
And "forever's" meaning made.

Saturday was Miss Jocelyn's birthday party. We arrived at the Dixon homestead around 1pm. Quite soon after we pulled in, Mrs. Dixon's mother and sister, Jen, pulled in the driveway. They came all the way from New Mexico to celebrate Mother's Day, as well as Jocelyn's birthday.
Later, Mrs. Dixon's dad and his parents came. It was good to finally meet the birthday girl's great-grandparents, as they weren't able to come to Luli's party. In the background of the Feelin' Feminine icon is their great-grandma's wedding photo. She was very pretty, and still is.
After a little while it was time to eat. They had quite a full menu on the smorgasboard. Once we had our food we headed out to the yard where there were tables and lawn chairs set up for us to eat at. After we finished eating (though some were still snacking), we talked. It's so funny how many things one can talk about, and still have more to say.
This is us (well, I'm not in the picture, I took the picture, but I was sitting between Amanda and Jocelyn) outside, talking. Left to right: Amanda, Jocelyn, Maggie, Breezy, and Rachel.
I just adore this shot of Jocelyn and Breezy, they're just so pretty!
Lovely Lady Rachel.
Amanda and Maggie. Aren't they cute?
Little Lucy Lillie, see all of her teeth? Sadly, she doesn't like me, but I hope one day she will.
The Dixon's great-grandparents. They're a very sweet couple, who enjoy spending time with their great-grandchildren. I was glad to get to meet them, hopefully we'll get to visit with them again sometime.
The birthday girl reading the card I made her. It had the words to Amazing Grace in the background, and I tried to give it a vintage look. I will be making a bag for her birthday - though I haven't yet - I will.
A shot of all the young ladies (excluding Luli) Maggie, Jocelyn, Hannah, me, Rachel, Amanda, and Breezy.
Miss Jocelyn and I. Of course, I had to make a goofy smile (though I didn't realize how silly it looked until after we left), but Jocelyn looks just perfect. She got a perm from her grandma for her birthday, so it was extra cute and curly.
Their house is beautiful, it has lots of decorative antique doors which give it a very homey feel.
Yet again, it was a sad parting, but hopefully we shall return again, or maybe they'll come here for a visit.
Awwwwww.... what LOVELY photos (except the first one of me haha, I kinda look weird). The one of me and Breezy is a good one. Aw, all of them are great. Even the one us, and your goofy smile. *rolls eyes at silly Emily Rose* hehe
Oh man, I had such a lovely time. I truly enjoy your company, all of you. I can't wait until we meet again, here or there.
Love you so much. HUGS!
And, we did end up seeing Expelled. It was great. I admit I didn't get enranged at the Darwinians. I laughed my head off at their silly ideas and felt sorry for them.
When the world comes crashing down and we are holding onto Jesus, they will be lost and confused.... I'm sure many of them will ask Jesus "why didn't you show yourself" and He'll reply "You weren't looking". : ( Excellent film!
Those are some nice pictures... except the one of me! LOL
It was so fun to see you guys again... I hope we can meet again soon!
By the way, the cookies you made we DELICIOUS! You must send me the recipe for them. I am thinking you made the cookie part in muffin tins and only filled them up a little, then made them into the cookies. They tasted like brownies :D Well, I'd love to try the recipe!
Tell everyone I said hi!
Love you and miss you already!
love,
Rachel
Ps. I am working on a post about Jocelyn's birthday, but it is in editing right now. So come by later and maybe it will be up for you to comment. :)
