Welcome to my spot! Here I post about the goings on in my life while serving my King. I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged in the Lord by reading my blog.
I am a 15 year old Christian, saved by God's amazing grace. My ultimate goal is to give glory to God by enjoying Him forever. I am a stay-at-home-daughter, and hope to one day become a godly wife and mother.
I enjoy antiques - especially the ones with a story.

Your memories are held within your heart
And your heart in one of two treasures.
That of the earthly or that of the heavenly;
The Creator of universe measures.
-
Hold not so close the earthly dear
And all that glitters here.
Value that which is worth more
And within your heart keep near.
-
When eternity draws close at hand
And rusting possessions fade
Consider your soul and your eroding land
And "forever's" meaning made.

Wow! I am extremely shocked . . . I don't know how to start this post. I'll just plunge in.
We now own a Nikon D60!
Momma went to Best Buy on Saturday and purchased one. The really cute part, is that it was Daddy's idea. They've been talking about it for a while - secretly. I've been saving up for a Nikon - and I had a long ways to go before I could afford one.
Saturday morning, they were looking around online at what kind of camera's a few bloggers have, and then went to the Best Buy website and saw that the Nikon D60 was on sale! God is so good!
That afternoon I took family portraits for some friends of ours. I was so happy with the way they turned out with the Nikon.
Since then, I've been taking photos left and right. They turn out clear and extremely sharp.
Here are a few that I've taken with the new Nikon. Which is your favorite?
Beautiful! I am trying not to be jealous...no really. God has blessed you! I should now just drop out of the photography section completely, or else get over it:)
I personally like the second picture...because the reflection is extremely well balanced. But the deep color of the soil in the first picture matches perfectly with the color of the chive.
Love
Maggie
I'm sure your having a great time with your new camera! Those are all great pictures, and I'm having a really hard time deciding if I like the chive in the water or the toad....
Either way, Mr. Toad definately wins for most fun photo! (or is it Mrs. Toad???) ;-)
By the way, the "winking" picture below is so funny. Mrs. Bennet's line makes a perfect caption!
Hmmm, I think I like the flowers the best. I like using my Dad's camera (its better than Mum's) although Dad's isn't the highest you can get - but it still takes good pics. He uses his camera a lot, for when he goes out and takes pictures of horses teeth and gashes, but when he has it out, I'll use it a lot for sunsets.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D I am SO happy for you all! I know you will probably use it the most, but I'm sure everyone is excited! :)
Your mom told me you are off to the zoo today! I can't wait to see the pictures you come back with! Which picture do I like best, the one of the flower reflecting in the water. All of them are good shots, but that one is excellent! :)
Have a wonderful day!
Marie :)
Oh! Those are beautiful pictures, Emily!! My favorite is probably the second one with the flower floating in the water; however, the last one, with the frog, was absolutely cute!! Overall, they were all very pretty and well-done pictures. I am so happy for you that you got a new camera!! Isn't the Lord good?!
