This is Mom with an update on Harley's Schedule!
Hey, Harley is asleep. She's been a very busy girl. Today, was our Christmas Craft Fair at our Homeschool group. Harley painted a Christmas house. It was a good time of fellowship and fun. Harley did the Spirit of Santa Breakfast last Friday morning and got booked for two more shows. Here is an update of her schedule:

Kati is my cuz & 1 of my best friends she will be ten 12/07/2007!

Got the best of both worlds
Well it's been a long year for me but it has been cool!!! First all my winnings then finding out I was geting to go to DOLLYWOOD the day after Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus we are geting to stay in one of my favrote hotels!!!
So you see I kind of do have the best of both worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the winner is.........
Let me start by saying, this is Luvs2bemom, yodelinggirl's mother. We have had a very busy weekend. Harley competed at the MidSouth Talent at the Memphis fair in Memphis, TN on Friday. There were 29 acts. Some were vocals, some dance, and some instrumentals. They advanced 6 to the finals and Harley was one of them. They had 4 other prelimanarys Sat. Today she went to the finals. There were 30 acts, about 100 contestants. They were all very good, and Harley defintely brought her A game. She sang her favorite, Cowboy's Sweetheart. She sang, yodeled, and clogged. They placed 4 positions. 3rd (trophy & $75), 2nd (trophy & $150), 1st (trophy & $300), and GrandChampion (trophy & $600). Harley won GrandChampion!!!!!!!!! We all were stunned. God is so good, He showed His favor on her. We all were so excited and shocked. She will be in the paper Monday, check out The Commercial Appeal.com. She returns to MidSouth Talent, Sunday to be the entertainment at the Sr. Division Finals. Next year, she will be the entertainment for the Jr. Division Finals, (9-12) which is what she won this year. We are so proud of her. I thank God for giving her such a wonderful gift.

How Do You Like Me Now?
My friends Sarah (dixiefiddler) and her sister Jordan (dixiebeauty) and their mother Mrs. Josephine (dixiecajuns) helped me with my blog. My mom and I went to their house yesterday and they video taped me singing and dancing. Sarah then put it on my blog for me and changed my background and got me a virtual pet. My mom had tried to do some of this, but couldn't figure it out. So a big "Thank You" to Sarah, Jordan, and Mrs. Josephine. I hope you enjoy my video as much as I loved making it!!!

Exciting Weekend!!!
Harley has gone to spend the night with Grandma. She asked me to write this entry for her. So here it goes.... Last Monday, we received a call from the Loretta Lynn Ranch. Harley had been in the talent search there in June. She had received 7th place out of 20 contestants. She missed the top 6 by 1 point. One of the top finalist could not return to the finals and since Harley was 1st alternate, they were calling to see if she wanted to participate in the Loretta Lynn Talent Search Finals. So Friday, we packed our bags and left out for the Ranch. Harley was so excited. Not only was she going to be in the Finals, but she was getting a weekend with me and her dad and NO brothers. On Saturday, her MawMaw and PawPaw came up to see her in the Finals and spend the night with us. Harley did awesome!!! She didn't make it in the top 10, but she was wonderful!! The crowd loved her. Harley is such a humble spirit. She went to the contestants and congratulated them. She wanted to stay and see the top ten compete, so we did. I am so proud of her and all the Lord is doing in her life. Be in prayer for her. She has a 50's show this Saturday. Sept. 21 we go to Memphis for the MidSouth competition (I believe it is the largest talent contest in TN). Sept. 22 she will be in a pageant at our county fair. She is a busy little girl.

Surprise Surprise
Last night was church night & to my surprise thay had me a surprise Birthday party !!! I am so excited & can't wait for my B-day. It's Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Oh yeah It's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So do you have a Birthday coming up? Oh for those of you that have tried to look at my moms blog she does't have one yet but is getting one soon. Sorry to give you false info but my brother on the other hand does so check it out Please.

Making My First C.D.
Hay, I'm just sitting here writing this blog & I can't wait for Thursday I'm going to the recording studio. I start recording my first c.d. it should only take a couple of weeks to complete, but then we have to work on the c.d. cover. It's very exciting and I can't wait! My birthday is next Tuesday. I will be 12. I want a bicycle, clothes, and a purity ring. I hope I get everything on my list. But if I don't, I'll like what I do get. I love getting comments and leaving comments, so if you read this, leave me one. Thanks!

3rd Place
Last week,I was in the finals of the Regency Jr Idol. I won 3rd, & I was so happy!!! The limo ride was really fun & I'll do it again next year. I made lots of friends. One of them even won first. We will stay in touch. Second place was won by a six year old. She is awesome. The Kids' Krusade was a huge success. I got to be a puppet. I did good for my first time, but once I forgot to move the puppet's mouth and my mom said that my puppet was a ventriloquist(?). It was really funny. I also got to be a yodeling pirate. That is something I had never heard of. But the pastor's grandmother requested that I yodel in front of the whole church, and my mom worked it in the service. I am from the country and this church was in the middle of the city. It is very different from where I am from. We spent one day passing out flyers and inviting people to the krusade, at Wal-Mart. I really enjoyed doing that. We just pray that seeds were planted and these children's lives were forever changed in Jesus. On Saturday night, I sang at the TVJ in Lawrenceburg. It is a music show they have once a month. This was my second time there. I really liked it. This Saturday night, I will be singing at a benefit. My voice is strained so help me pray it is better soon.

Busy, Busy
Last night, we went to the Regency Junior Idol to see my friend sing. She didn't make it to the finals, but I thought she should have, she did a good job. But, another friend of mine did. She sang "Old Time Rock and Roll" which was the song I was going to sing in the finals with "Cowboy's Sweetheart", but now I'm going to sing "You Can't Hurry Love". I am just learning it so I will have to practice, practice, practice this week. My mom won't be at the finals. She will be doing a kids krusade in Sylacaguaga(?). My grandparents are going to pick me up Friday and either them or my dad are taking me to the finals. Me, my mom, and my baby brother are leaving Tuesday going to Sylacaguaga. I will check my blog before I leave. Be in prayer for us that God will use us to reach kids and adults this week. I am really excited about everything going on.

Cowboy's Sweetheart
My mother says that I was born talking. Not long after that I began singing. When I was about 4, I began singing in church. I have always loved to sing! Last spring, my aunt suggested I take voice lessons. After a couple of them, my teacher discovered that I could yodel! It is a natural God given talent, and I love it! Last July, I entered the Regency Junior Idol at The Regency Square Mall in Florence, AL. I didn't win, but I did make it to the finals. I sang "I Want to Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart" and "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden". It was such a great experience and I really had a good time. And that began my singing career. Since then I placed second in the Killen Founder's Day. I placed in the top 5 in the open division of the Middle Tennessee District Fair and won 1st in the 4th-6th grade division. I sang live on WLX radio's Christmas Cafe. I won the 11-17 year old age division in the North Alabama Talent Expo 2007 at the Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, AL. Most resently, I placed in the top ten at the Loretto Lynn Talent Search 2007. I also have advanced to the final rounds, which will be July 27, in the Regency Junior Idol. I am so excited! I get to ride in a limo and go to a recording studio and see a concert.
As you can tell, I love singing and I have not forgotten that I owe all this to God! I want to give Him all the glory and praise! I sang "Who Am I" at church Sunday. I love that song!
I am currently working on my first cd! It is very exciting!!! I can't wait until it is finished and I can put in the cd player and listen to it.
