After School Snack Time
Today’s assignment is to post a few of your favorite snacks.
If they are homemade, share a recipe.
Take time this week evaluate your snack and share ways that you can make this healthy for you and your family.

Our afternoon snacks are generally pretty healthy - My kids really don't consume a whole lot of sugar throughout the day. One of their all-time favorite afternoon snacks are Peanut Butter and Jelly Roll-Ups. It's essentially a PB and J in a different form, introduced to us by my Aunt Liz. Even if my kids have had PB and J sandwiches for lunch, they will ask for these roll-ups for their afternoon snack!
Here's how you make 'em:
Take a piece of bread and remove the crust (not necessary, but adds a fun, snacky touch - this is the only time my kids don't eat the crust on their bread!). Roll the bread flat using a rolling pin. Spread Peanut butter on entire piece of flat bread. Add a bit of jelly on have of the peanut-buttered toast and roll!
If your kids are fans of PB and J sandwiches, they just may enjoy this version too!! Let me know what they think!
