There are so many things that I am thankful for this week, but I am most thankful today for the things I most often take for granted.
Adapted from a list by World Vision, here is my own list, to remind myself how to pray for children in need around the world, as I go through my days:

1. As I take a shower, I pray for clean water.
2. As I see my children run and play, I pray for child laborers.
3. As I feed my family healthy meals and snacks throughout the day, I pray for the hungry and malnourished children.
4. As I teach my children to read and write, I pray for education.
5. As I tuck my kids in bed each night, I pray for displaced, abandoned and orphaned children.
6. As I take my vitamins and teach my children about good hygiene, I pray for medical access.
7. As I pray for my kids every day, I pray the souls of the children around the world.

"And prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.... The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." -James 5:15, 16

What a wonderful list. I think that is a great way to pray. I think that is what the Bible means when it says "pray without ceasing", allowing everyday tasks to remind us to pray for others.

My son-in-law works for World Vision. I love the way you adapted the prayer for your children. We are very blessed and take so much for granted. Bless you for being able to see God in the ordinary.

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
