Mar. 25, 2007 - Sunday Seven (Edition #8)

1. I met yesterday morning with four of my wonderful friends... We are going through "Created to be His Help Meet" by Debi Pearl and discuss a chapter each week. We visit, catch up and pray for each other, too. I so enjoy this time and value each of my dear sisters in Christ!

2. My husband and I got an evening without the kids last night! We were with a good friend as she celebrated her birthday. As much as I love and adore my children, it was so nice to have a night out!

3. God is so good! He has completely restored health to our home - The flu bug has officially left!! Not everyone was effected this time, which is remarkeably rare, and two of us didn't even get the full-blown thing (Ray and Ethan had just a mild bout)!

4. Our allergies seem to be under control, too. Spring is always a very bad time for the twins and me, but with as much stuff as we have floating around in the Spring breeze, it really hasn't been too bad so far. (Thanks to Benadryl and Zyrtec, and maybe the fact that we got away from all the Oak trees!!)

5. WooHoo for Spring! This week has been beautiful - Warm sunshine, cool breezes and lots of playing outside. It's truly hard to focus on school-work when the children want to be outside all day!

6. I am so thankful this week that we have a yard in which the kids can play! They have so much fun digging in the dirt (since that's all that is in the backyard right now). They are exhausted and sleep well at the end of the day!

7. Oh, and yesterday I made a great find on Amazon - I am so happy! I bought the "Bullfrogs and Butterflies" music that I listened to all through my childhood. My children already know most of the songs from the CD's I found because I sing them to them often, but now they can listen to the real thing!

Bullfrogs and Butterflies...my kids grew up with that as well as the Music Machine and Anthillvania. Sounds like it was a wonderful week for you and the tribe. So glad that everyone is well and enjoying digging in the dirt. Adult conversation is a wonderful thing.

Thank the Lord for friends that will keep you accountable in Bible Study. Hope you have a glorious week.

I enjoyed reading your list. I'm glad to see that you are spending time on your marriage as well as your children -- neglecting the marriage is a big mistake that many people make when their children are young.

I definitely need to get that Bullfrogs and Butterflies CD. Just thinking about it brings back wonderful memories! I sing to Alex all the time but sometimes I just wish I could put on a CD that he would like.

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
