Apr. 1, 2007 - Sunday Seven (Edition #9)

1. We had a little bit of rain this week, but the weather was sure beautiful after the storm... Back to spring sunshine and lots of playing and exploring outside. The kids even made a swing with a tow rope and a stool! Further proof that a swing set would gets lots of use in our backyard!!

2. I was able to see my precious baby, via ultrasound, on Thursday. Baby is healthy and is even measuring on the big side. We got to find out the gender and were very surprised by the results, but excited nontheless.

3. Our Yukon had to go into the shop this week... We wanted to get the cruise control fixed, but they discovered transmission problems, too, so who knows how long it will be worked on. I am thankful that we were able to get the same model for a loaner and that everything will be covered under warranty.

4. Thursday afternoon we were able to visit with some old family friends who are moving to Belize as full-time missionaries! They leave in just a few short weeks, so it was nice to see them and pray with them before they left.

5. Friday afternoon we did our weekly science experiments with friends. This week we learned all about water and air. The kiddos had a ball with all of the different materials we tested in the water and even had an air-fueled paper race!

6. I am thankful for the laughter that I shared with my kids this week. There were a few days that were spent in total silliness, as we learned and played together.

7. I am also thankful that the Lord pulled me through the frustrating times this week... And He knows I had plenty of those! Having 5 young children can be somewhat challenging, but as I lean on the strength of the Lord, I can see Him get me through those tough times to relax and enjoy my children!

You know... I'm not sure that swing set is a good idea! LOOK how creative NOT having one has made your children!!! LOL! I'm just kidding of course... I'm a firm believer in swing sets! My husband built the mother of them all when my kids were little!

God IS good - and you ARE blessed! Have a great week with the kids preparing for Easter!

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
