Apr. 6, 2007 - It's Time To De-Lurk

Thank you to all of the De-lurkers who left wonderful and encouraging comments and sent emails! I am so glad that you have made yourselves known!! If I haven't visited you yet, please know that I am on my way... I am anxious to get to know you better!
Tonight I will have one of my children randomly select the winner of my little de-lurker drawing.... The winner will be announced and contacted tomorrow! STAY TUNED!!

Tiany has declared a "No Lurking Week" and I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon!
So, what is a lurker? A lurker is one who drops in to read what I have to say, sometimes daily, but never makes it known that you were here. Is that you???
If you fall under the category of lurker, then it's time to de-lurk!! It's time to show your pretty face and leave a word, or two! I am always so happy to have visitors (and I know you come to vist, thanks to my handy dandy stat counter), but I would love to hear from you by a quick little comment on a post, an email, or even a quick message in my tag box on the left!
Now, I know your time is precious. As a fellow wife, mommy, homeschooler, keeper of the home and woman, I know you don't have much time to spare.... All I am asking is that you say hi and tell me what you think of what I share, let me know from where in the world you are or if you just stopped by to see who I am or what I have to say.
Some of you may think that since you don't have a blog of your own you can't leave a comment, right? Not true! Anyone can leave me a comment... If you do not have a HomeschoolBlogger account, just leave your name in place of the "anonymous" at the top of the comment box after you click on "leave a note" and write as much or as little as you would like. It's really not hard!! And don't forget to leave a way for me to get back to you (an email address or blog address). I visit everyone who leaves me comments - You just never know, we may become good friends!
To encourage all of you lurkers to come out of hiding, I am going to have a drawing.... All first-time commenters, who mention that they are de-lurking, will be entered in a drawing for a fun little prize!! So, de-lurk now!!!

Yes. I know what you mean. That's funny how you call them lurkers.......sounds almost insidious! I talked about it in my March 7 post, about what my stats were telling me. I need to do another analysis on April 7, eh? See if anything has changed.

See, it doesn't have to be an intelligent note you leave behind, just say hello so she knows you've passed through. My mother in love hates to leave phone messages, so.. when she gets the nerve.. she says "Hi. It's just me. huh (cute nervous giggle)" and then hangs up. We know her voice, we call her back. |

| On a forums I'm on, we don't call them lurkers, we call them silent angels. There's about 50 posters, and about 50 silent angels. They're everywhere you know, these silent angels. |

Hi! I'm from the other side of the world... a Filipina in Malaysia. I've been blogging for almost three years now and Yes i'm one of those few who just read blogs and moved on. But since you gave me an opportunity to say Hi, I can't let that chance go to waste. I am a mother of 3 children two of them are in homeschooling and the other one is still a toddler. Hi,
I just wanted to de-lurk and say you have a well put together blog.It is very funny and informative. I especially loved when you talked about your home being organized chaos.........that was funny because that's my home too(I have 5 kids too). I've been telling people the same thing for the past 6 yrs now. People always ask,"How do you do it?" My response is always,"I just do." Besides, I wouldn't have it any other way.....I love having a large family....I really enjoy all the noise and chaos much of the time. I guess I'm just weird like that. But any hoot, I just wanted to tell you to keep up the good work and Congrats on the new baby!

Hey girl! Congratulations on all of the new and exciting things that happened in your growing family this past week! I know you love and cherish the time that you get to spend with your children, watching them grow physically, spiritually, and mentally as you so diligently invest with love into each of their little hearts! I'm so happy for you about your new son! Guess you and Julia will just have to keep praying for that little girl that God has for you down the road! I know that you are excited, and we rejoice with you! Your family has been such an encouragement to ours. I share with Will at the end of each day the things that you have posted on your blog about your family. It's so amazing the relationship God places between His children when they may be so far apart. There is just that spiritual bond that only He can give and I am so thankful. I was going to see if you would mind emailing me your mailing address, I have a little something I would like to send to you and your children. Thanks! Oh, I was also wanting to find out a little more about the "Created to be His Helpmeet" study...I think you have gone through it...if so, could you tell me a little about it?

My wonderful wife actually does the homeschooling (and the million other things that constitute running a household) for our 4 children ages 4,6,9,11. We live in Abbeville, SC

| Hi! I just visited your site from 5 minutes for moms...Way to go in your work as a mom and homeschooler to 5 kids! I am the oldest of 9 kids and am expecting my third child in June. I don't plan to homeschool my kids as my church has a private Christian school that we support and plan to send our kids to, but anyone who homeschools has my complete admiration! |

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
