Apr. 19, 2007 - Thursday Thirteen #11 -- 13 *Other* Ways in Which Baby Wipes are Useful

13 Things to Do with Baby Wipes
(besides the obvious!):
1. Shine your shoes
My boys are pros at cleaning their shoes with baby wipes!
2. Remove Your Makeup
There is seriously no better way to remove eye makeup, even the stubborn water proof stuff!
Even top models use baby wipes!
3. Spot clean your carpet
From coffee spills to blood stains, those baby wipes get it all out!
4. Recycle as cleaning cloths
Some brands, such as Huggies, can be washed and used as cleaning cloths.
I would hope that I wouldn't have to say that only the *mildly used* wipes should be washed and re-used!!
5. Wipe down your bathroom
No time to *clean* your bathroom before that last minute guest should arrive? Grab a baby wipe and wipe down the counter surfaces... They work great!
6. Soothe your skin
You can temporarily soothe a sunburn or pre-clean a cut or scrape with just a swipe of the baby wipe!
7. Touch up paint spots
As we were painting we used so many baby wipes to clean up the base boards and out-of-place paint spots! Works like magic!
8. Spot clean your clothes
You know, those I-have-no-time-to-change-after-baby-spits-up-on-me moments. Grab a baby wipe, scrub the stain, and head out the door as good as new!
9. Wipe your hands
After pumping gas, or serving PB&J's in the park, a wipe is ever so handy!
10. Clean off your dashboard
The baby wipe is perfect for the dusty build up on the dashboard of your car, and the console, and the.....
11. Wipe down the couch
We have a micro-fiber upholstered couch, and nothing removes the spills and sticky messes like a baby wipe!
12. Use as a dust cloth
My kids like to dust with a baby wipe in each hand. They will wander around the house searching for surfaces to wipe clean!
13. Wipe the baby's crusty nose
I know this one seems gross, but they work wonders! A warm wash cloth is too big and abrasive for those little sore and sensitive noses, but a wipe does the trick and they never even know it's comin'!The sensitive ones, with aloe, are perfect for the job.

| Wow, I love this list! I just had a baby six weeks ago and it's interesting to see some new uses for the Costco-sized box of baby wipes my parents bought for my son!! |

What a great list. I use wipes for everything! The children using them to clean is AWESOME. They are the same way & will go searching for things to clean. I love it!

I used wipes for most of those things too! Now I use cloth wipes only, and they aren't the same for some of those things!

Great ideas!
I hadn't thought of using them to spot clean the carpet. I'll have to give that a try.

| Now I don't feel so weird. I don't have kids, but have bought wipes in the past for some of these reasons! They are just handy for cleaning. My TT13 is up at http://anyapples.blogspot.com/ |

If you scrapbook and/or do any stamping, baby wipes are excellent for cleaning your stamps, as long as they are alcohol/fragrance free.
It's much more cost-effective than buying actual cleaner.

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
