Apr. 20, 2007 - A First
My daughter is at a sleepover tonight, and I'm not so sure how I feel about it...
Julia has spent many nights away from me - When Daddy and I are out of town, after a new sibling is born, when Mimi and Poppy want their grandkids for a night or two, or when Aunt Sara or Aunt Annie want to have a slumber party...
But, this is a first for Julia. She is at a sleepover at her best friend's house, just because!
I was so excited for Julia, since she was thrilled to be spending the night with her best friend (and a family whom we trust completely). But, tonight, as I said "good-night" to each of my boys, tucked them in and said a blessing over them, I couldn't help but feel kinda sad that my baby girl was somewhere else.
Maybe she's not such a baby anymore....

It is a blessing, though, to have such good friends that she enjoys and that you trust.

| awww we haven't quite gotten there yet, but I can imagine how it will feel. My oldest does spend the night as his grandparents and cousins once in a while and even then it's wierd to check on them and NOT see one :) |

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
