May. 3, 2007 - Thursday Thirteen #13 -- An Assortment of My Favorite Things

13 of My Favorite Things:

1. My Bible - There is nothing like my Bible, markings and all. I always know exactly where to go to find exactly what I need. My soul is refreshed, my mind renewed and my heart enlightened when I read the inspired Word of God.
2. Johnny's Seasoning Mix - I buy this seasoning at Costco and use it on everything from potatoes to fried chicken to homemade mac and cheese. Yummy!
3. My GMC Yukon - Since we had baby #6 on the way, we needed a bigger vehicle... Out with the mini-van, in with the SUV!
4. My pineapple corer/slicer -

I have always loved pineapple, but I never liked cutting it. Until I found this! It works wonders on a pineapple and even allows you to keep all of that delicious juice!
5. My Camcorder - Capturing my children's laughter, activity and sometimes their tears on film is something I treasure. I know that later I will enjoy watching these years that flew by.
6. My Digital Camera - I don't have the lastest model, or even the best of it's kind, and the screen doesn't show the picture half the time, but it takes decent pictures! (The only problem is that I hardly ever print my pictures now.)
7. My Husband's MP3 Player - I don't have one of my own, but I probably use the thing more than my husband does!
8. My cell phone - Can't leave home without it.... Just don't feel safe.
9. My pillow - I can not get a good night sleep without my contoured memory foam pillow!
10. Note cards - I usually buy the big hand-made assortment pack, so that I have them on hand... You never know when you'll need one! (Again, I get them at Costco and they end up being cheaper than if I made them myself!)
11. My CO Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine from Bath and Body Works - My favorite is the Root Beer ... Mmmm, it tastes, feels and smells yummy!
12. Fresh flowers - Need I give an explanation???

I'm a California girl, through and through! If I could, I would go barefoot all the time, but my flip-flops are the next best thing!

Great list this week. I love wearing flip flops or pull on sandals. Perhaps it's because I prefer to have as little on my feet as possible.

Just wanted to let you know that your blog always reminds me and inspires me to remember that God is number one in my life. most of my family and friends are unsaved and I try to use my blog as a way to reach out to them. You do a much better than me and are inspiring....so thank you:)

OMG I loved my memory foam pillow, too! A few weeks ago I went on a trip with some friends and left in in the hotel room Waaah!! Then I tried to steal my husband's, but he took it back. I'll get another one for my birthday.

Great list! My Bible is one of my favorite things too. I have a page that is loose and every time my dh asks if I want a new Bible, I tell him no. I have the pages all marked the way I want them and I can generally find a verse in my Bible faster than with a computer program.

Love this 13 because it shows how much we have in common. I try not to leave home without my cellphone, but it's my iPod that would really bug me! It is my friend in the car!

Oh, and flip flops, gotta love them!

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
