The kiddos and I have been reading Missionary Stories with the Millers, and have been touched and blown away by the accounts of obedience and sacrifice. (You can read excerpts here.) It is amazing how God uses individuals for His glory, all over the world!

As I mentioned on Sunday, Ethan has expressed a true heart desire to tell others about Jesus everywhere he goes. He continually asks if those around him know and love Jesus. If he sees one act contrary to how he knows God would want them to act, he'll wonder (out loud) why they don't love Jesus. Ethan is very impulsive, by nature... He generally acts first, and then thinks, so all of this deep thought going on in his head is quite reassuring to me!

Africa has come up in many of our discussions about missionary work. Ray and I have been to Africa, and know that we will some day return. Ethan has also talked about going to Africa some day, and is very excited at the prospect! However, I must say that he has decided that he first wants to be a missionary in our neighborhood...

Several times, while playing with his neighborhood kids, Ethan has run in the house only to grab his Bible to show to his friends. He has shown them verses telling them that Christ loves them, and died for them, so they can live in heaven with Him!

Wow! What an example my son is to me!!

I love the missionary stories with the millers! I checked it out from the library, and I didn't want to give it back. The Millers series is on my wish list for this next year.

That is awesome to hear about Ethan sharing the gospel with people. That has to bless your heart more than anything!

Isn't it nice when your kids show that all the effort you put into trying to teach them about our Lord actually has made a difference to them?

My heart was warmed the other day when my 4 1/2 yr old decided to decorate a craft she was making with crosses to show that she loves Jesus :-)

I love the Miller's Missionalry stories! One of my kid's favorites is about a tiger that got loose in a missionary's plane, and the small village he did an emergency landing in, just at the exact moment needed medical help for one of it's people. It's a great story about how God provides!
I want to write about great tips for family devotions sometime and I would include that book as a favorite.

With all of the toys, books and school stuff filling our home, it tends to looks as if it is void of any order. In reality we are very systematic in the way our main parts (each family member) are connected, so as to form one whole unit (our family), thus creating "organized chaos".
