Aug. 12, 2007 - Any guesses?
I have been scouring blogsville for the best contests and giveaways to add to my new(er) blog, From Dates to Diapers... I figured it's time, again, for me to have a little contest of my own!
I am getting closer and closer every day to welcoming our newest child into the world. Of course I have no idea whatsoever as to when he (or she) will arrive, but if I did, what fun would that be??? I would love to hear your guesses, too, so here's how the contest will work:
1. Leave a comment here, or on this contest post at From Dates to Diapers, with your guess about the gender of the baby. (hint: make sure you read this, and this, before making your guess!) If you are correct you will receive 1 entry.
2. Tell me when you think Baby will be born - You can be as specific as you would like. For each correct time (date, hour, minute) you will receive 1 entry.
3. Guess his/her weight - Again, be as specific as you dare. The closest guess will receive 2 entries.
4. We already have a girls' name picked out, but for a boy we are thinking either Raymond Noah or Raymond Joel (the idea is to call him by his middle name, since Daddy's name is Raymond). So, for bonus points, let me know if you like the name Noah or Joel better, and why! For your opinion you will receive a bonus entry.
5. Just for fun: Tell your friends about this contest! I would love to hear everyone's guesses... The more the merrier! If you mention this contest on your blog and sign the Mr. Linky at From Dates to Diapers, I will give you 2 extra bonus entries!
Make sure you leave me your name and email address in your comment. You can enter only once, but you will have several opportunities to win! And, to all my non-blogging friends - Please enter!! I want to hear your guesses, too! I will draw the lucky winner after Baby comes and I have tallied the entries.

It was SO GOOD TO SEE YOU, Chris!! I miss you tremendously. I read that life is well from your blog. I'm not as computer savey and don't really spend much time on the 'puter, but I'm inspired to keep a log too! What a great way to keep in touch with people. I love reading about all the creativity.

I'm getting so excited! Okay, girl, here are my guesses....1. A little boy 2. Born at 10:03 AM
3. On Aug. 16 (our anniversary) 4. Weighing 8lbs. 3oz. 5. Measuring 21 3/4 inches 6. I like the name Raymond Noah best....for obvious reasons! However, we hope to have a son name Joel on down the line too! (We are doing all Bible names) Raymond was my Grandpa's name and I'm sure Noah would love to hear that he has a new friend with the same name!

yeah! its almost baby time! My guess is that it will be a girl! Mostly cause I think it would be great for Julia to get to have a sister, and because I trust your judgment so much more than doctors, and if you're feeling like its a girl, then thats a pretty good hint! But this whole guessing thing has made it fun to think about! What is the girls name you guys picked out? I know you told me but I just can't remember... I am guessing she will be early, I would say July 31, and weigh 7lbs 2oz....I can't wait to find out!!!
oh, and what do the bracelets look like that you are making?! How fun! Although I can't imagine you having time for that with everything, you amaze me!!

I like Raymond Joel, I like the way it flows with everyone else's name! And I love that you guys are picking Raymond for a first name! I am sure he will love it too, sharing that bond with a parent has meant a lot to me! (my mom and I have the same middle name!)

| Hi Christine! I think that you are having a girl...your family is a little boy-heavy! You need some girl power! I think she will be born on July 25th at 8:02 PM and I think she will weigh 7lbs 13oz. Now, if you do have a boy, I think you should name him Raymond Joel. I think those names go together nicely and RJ can be kind of a cute nickname...if you are into nicknames! |

I think that you are having a boy, Joel (I know quite a few Noahs and no Joels), on July 29th at 7:10am. My weight guess... 6lbs. 11oz. (my son's birth weight).
I hope that you have a smooth labor and make it to the hospital in time!

I predict a baby BOY will be on born Monday, July 30th at 6:11 p.m. He will weigh in at a whopping 7 lbs. 9 oz. His name will be Raymond Noah and he will be a toe-head blonde (I threw that one in just for fun). :-) I can't wait to meet him!

Wow, its almost time. Im gonna venture a guess here, and say you rbaby will be born on August 11 and 9:17am weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces. Im going to say its a boy.
And I like the name Noah, its easier to pronounce(esp. when the child is in trouble), but Joel is a nice name as well.
Good luck with your delivery, your in my prayers for a quick and healthy birth. |
