Dec. 4, 2007 - A Little Update
Okay, so I've been MIA for way too long. It seems like life kinda grabbed me and ran!
Having another baby in the house really hasn't made much of a difference... When I think about that extra pile of clothes to wash and fold, the extra can full of dirty diapers to dump, and the extra lack of sleep, it all pales in comparison to the extra smiles, the extra snuggling, and the extra love I feel from another life in the house!
Studies are going okay, except we are not where I feel we should be. We are about two months behind in our pre-planned schedule for the year. I am hoping to make it up as we go along, but the holidays seem to throw a wrench in to our plans.
Don't get me wrong... I love Thanksgiving, Christmas and celebrating the new year. BUT, the three weeks that I plan to take off around these holidays just never seems to be enough. Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem!
Is it really even a problem? One of the reasons why I love homeschooling is the freedom that we have to live and experience life, as a family.
We have been making gingerbread houses and Christmas presents, baking like there's no tomorrow, having fun with extended family, and just enjoying each other's company.
Here are some of the milestones that I missed telling you about:
Noah is growing like a weed. He is such a joy... Always smiling and even laughing now. Ben still doesn't talk much... I know he can, but he just doesn't feel the need, I guess. Josh just learned how to properly write his name, and is now writing it on everything! Julia finally got the hang of riding her bike, without the training wheels! She is so proud of herself, because now she can go with Daddy and her older brothers on bike rides. And, the twins just seem to get taller and smarter each day!
I'll leave you with some pictures from our day at Aunt Sara's, last week, making Gingerbread (aka graham cracker) Houses:
