Do we "really" have many left?!? Or is it all an illusion? I'm starting to think it is. Here is another scary story to echo those thoughts.

---------------------------------------

   POLICE STATE, USA

Nearly a dozen members of a police SWAT team in western Colorado punched a hole in the front door and invaded a family's home with guns drawn, demanding that an 11-year-old boy who had had an accidental fall accompany them to the hospital, on the order of  Garfield County Magistrate Lain Leoniak.

The boy's parents and siblings were thrown to the floor at gunpoint and the parents were handcuffed in the weekend assault, and the boy's father told WND it was all because a paramedic was upset the family preferred to care for their son themselves.

Someone, apparently the unidentified paramedic, called police, the sheriff's office and social services, eventually providing Leoniak with a report that generated the magistrate's court order to the sheriff's office for the SWAT team assault on the family's home in a mobile home development outside of Glenwood Springs, the father, Tom Shiflett, told WND.

----------------------------

Its really scary to think, that a call from a "concerned citizen" can result into the swat team breaking through your front door and hauling off with one of your children.

Our government is so far from the place our forefathers intended for us to be. We REALLY need change..

In lue of all the political news coverage and important political happenings... I thought this would be appropriate.

• Jan. 28, 2008 - Book Meme

Posted by Mommy to 5 blessings in Miscellaneous

This is a fun meme from Heather at Stepping Heavenward

Rules -

  1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages.)
  2. Open the book to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the next three sentences.
  5. Tag five people.

Here's my book:

(I'm going to cheat a little. The fifth sentence actually completes a thought and then it goes on to give a list. So I will go up a couple :0) . Rules are there to be broken! Right?? )

God set up a chain of command, first in Heaven, and then again here on earth. When you do not honor that command, you dishonor God, and apart from repentance, you can expect to reap the sure consequences. "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God" (1 Cor. 11:13).

Hannah, our just recently turned 3 year old, was playing in her toy/school room with her sisters.

She steps out her playhouse and delcares "I'm going to buy some tools.... and a puppy, a puppy because Sophia loves puppies."

Obviously there is no explanation needed for the tool purchase. It's perfectly normal for a 3 year old girl to want to buy tools... or isn't it? *Wink*

I think her fathers new job has taken root  in her life :0).

I so love this design!  I can change the frogs to reflect you and your little froglets (yeah, I know that isn't a word).  If you have 11 children or only 2, I can customize the frogs to reflect your family.

I call this design Froggy Pond.  It is available in a 2 column or 3 column design.  Contact me if you are interested!  Oh and definitely tell me what you think!
